The EASA type rating and licence endorsement lists constitute the class and type of aircraft categorisations in accordance with FCL.010. According to this list the GLOBAL 5500 and 6500 is a variant in the BD700 family. For this reason, a difference training is needed. The difference training is based on the OSD which is initiated by EASA but must be managed by the manufacturer. A variant training is valid for 2 years according to EASA Aircrew FCL.(FCL.710) Under a commercial operation, however, the operator must determine in the manual system how to handle the variants.
